Southeast Arkansas Political Animals to Meet July 10

The Southeast Arkansas Political Animals Club is pleased to announce Delta Regional Authority Federal Co-Chairman Chris Caldwell as the featured speaker of the group’s next meeting. The meeting will take place Tuesday, July 10th at the Monticello Western Sizzlin at 12 p.m.
Chairman Caldwell was appointed by President Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in January of 2018. Before beginning his role with the DRA,  Caldwell served as the director of special projects for Senator John Boozman (R-AR). Caldwell was the campaign manager for Senator Boozman’s 2016 re-election campaign, as well as the political director for Boozman's 2010 Senate campaign. He has also served on several other campaigns, including Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s 2008 presidential bid and Arkansas Senator Tim Hutchinson’s 2002 Senate campaign.

The Delta Regional Authority works to improve regional economic opportunity by helping to create jobs, build communities, and improve the lives of the 10 million people who reside in the 252 counties and parishes of the eight-state Delta region. Led by the Delta Regional Authority Board-comprised of the Federal Co-Chairman and the governors of the eight states-the Delta Regional Authority fosters local and regional partnerships that address economic and social challenges to ultimately strengthen the Delta economy and the quality of life for Delta residents.
“We are honored to have Chairman Caldwell speak at our next meeting,” said John Davis, chairman of the Southeast Arkansas Political Animals Club. “Since the agency’s creation, the DRA has played a vital role in the economic development of our region. We look forward to welcoming Chairman Caldwell to our club and learning what he sees the future holding for the Delta Regional Authority and Southeast Arkansas.”
