Donna McCaskill Smith Named Clinical Director of Le Bonheur's ED

Donna (McCaskill) Smith, MHSA (Masters in Health Services Administration), BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), RN (Registered Nurse), CPEN (Certified Pediatric Emergency Nursing), has been named clinical director of Le Bonheur's Emergency Department (ED).  Donna has served as Interim Director for more than a year.  She recently earned her master's degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University in Memphis and assumed the official role of clinical director.  an ED Associate for 11 years, Donna partners with ED administrator Crile Crisier to oversee operations, personnel and patient care initiatives.

Prior to her career in nursing, Donna worked as an EMT and a respiratory therapist.  She earned her bachelor's degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing.

"Donna possesses extensive ED clinical experience and a natural talent for leadership,"  wrote Crile.  "Donna is a friend to all and brings such a positive attitude to the department; it is truly a pleasure to come to work and be around her each day.  Moreover, Donna's passion for her work is clear in all that she does - she cares for each child as if it were her own.  I am proud to be associated with Donna and the entire ED team."

In her spare time, Donna enjoys playing with her seven grandchildren, rooting for the Arkansas Razorbacks, traveling and visiting with friends and family.

Donna McCaskill Smith is the daughter of Harry (Buddy) McCaskill and Mary Helen McCaskill.  She grew up in Warren and is a graduate of Warren High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
