Musicfest in ElDorado Lineup Released

EL DORADO, ARK. (June 7, 2019) – Murphy Arts District (MAD) and Main Street El Dorado are presenting two days of family fun and great music this September 27th and 28th in El Dorado, Arkansas. With more than 30 years of history, MusicFest delivers memorable performances from national acts and fun for the whole family at affordable prices in one of the South’s prettiest downtowns.

This year’s lineup in the outdoor MAD Amphitheater includes Country, Rock and Alternative artists who have won national awards, generated millions of downloads, and crafted chart-topping singles.

Friday, September 27th, will feature headliner Walk The Moon (850 million streams and two Billboard Magazine Music Awards), lovelytheband (2019 iHeart Radio Music Award Best New Rock/Alternative Artist), The New Respects (a high energy throwback rock and soul band, one of Rolling Stone’s ‘Bands You Need To Know About’), and a late night show in the Griffin Restaurant with alternative hip-hop group RDGLDGRN. A ticket to Friday’s Amphitheater show is required to attend the RDGLDGRN performance.

Saturday, September 28th, will feature headliner Brett Young (2018 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year), Gone West featuring Colbie Caillat (new Country power group with Grammy and Country music award winners), Tyler Rich, Gabby Barrett (2018 American Idol Finalist), and Teddy Robb (rising Country music artist). Regional favorite Trey Johnson rounds out the bill.



The Griffin Restaurant stage will host several acts on Saturday afternoon, including Spectra Vamp, Szlachetka, a surprise performance from the winner of MAD’s first MAD Battle band competition, and a late-night show with The ShotGunBillys. A ticket to Saturday’s Amphitheater show is required to attend Griffin Restaurant afternoon and late-night performances.

Activities around El Dorado’s historic downtown Union Square District on Saturday, September 28th will include food, fun and free music. The Murphy USA Union Square stage will feature Crutchfield, Blackstrap, Jimmy Lewis & 8 and Second Ride and The Karla Case Band.  The acoustic stage will feature the Norphlet Quartet, Corey Sharp, JT Lee and Made in America.  Other activities include the regional, End of the Steak Trail Invitational Championship, a Bag Toss Tournament with $1,000 first place prize, the kid favorite Lanxess Kid’s World with inflatables, games and more, the Medical Center of South Arkansas 5k/10k races, an Escape Room, Zip Line, Roller Coaster simulator, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission BB Gun Target Shoot, and so much more. Local schools will also perform on the downtown stage. The Cole’s Jewelers Miss MusicFest Pageant will be on Sunday, September 22nd at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium. 

“Each year we try to top what we presented the previous year downtown,” said Beth Brumley, Executive Director of Main Street El Dorado. “I believe we did it again and know locals and out town visitors are going to have a great time!”

Ticketing
Tickets will go on sale to MAD members on June 10th. The general public can buy tickets during the Early Bird phase (when they are the least expensive) starting on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:00 AM. Initially tickets will only be available as two-day packages, combining Friday and Saturday. Individual one-day Advance tickets may be purchased starting July 6th. Prices go up the Week of Show starting September 22nd.

New this year at MAD is a seated section in the MAD Amphitheater, located directly behind the pit area. The new seated section includes more than 1,100 full-sized chairs and will have two general admission first come, first served price types. Pit and lawn ticket price types will also be available. The pit is in front of the stage and is standing room only. The lawn area is located behind the seated section and is general admission, first come, first served. Blankets and 9-inch chairs are allowed in the lawn area. The 9-inch chairs will be available to rent.
