Honors For President George H. W. Bush

The picture was taken within the train car caring the body of President George H. W. Bush from Houston to his final resting place on the grounds of his presidential library  at Texas A & M University.  Hundreds lined the tracks to pay their final respects to the 41st President of the United States.  The coffin was transported in a rail car with glass sides to allow the public to view and honor.

President Bush was a former businessman, congressman, envoy to China, CIA Director, Vice President and President.  He was given high marks of esteem by members of both political parties and was spoken highly of by political friends and opponents.

Many people throughout the nations watched his funeral on television as a way of showing their respect.
