Hermitage Alumns Complete College with Academic Degrees

Brooke Clanton
The Hermitage High School class of 2014 has four members who recently completed college with academic awards and degrees with honors.

Tristen “Brooke” Clanton completed a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education, Communication and Technology, Concentrating in Communication with minors in Agricultural Business and Leadership with high distinction at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.  She was awarded as the Outstanding Senior for the Agricultural Education, Communication and Technology department.  Brooke was also designated as a Senior of Significance at the University. She has accepted a position as the Agriculture Program Manager at the Arkansas Agriculture Department in Little Rock, AR. Brooke is the daughter of Kristi Clanton and Sam Clanton.
Cindy Ferrell

Cindy Nolan Ferrell graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.    Cindy received the 2018 Outstanding Student in Management Award for which she was inducted into the School of Business Hall of Outstanding Students.  Cindy worked through college as Co-Manager of Johnsville Trucking LLC, which she will continue with, as well as recently accepting the additional position of Purchasing and Inventory Operations Manager for Johnsville Company LLC.  Her spouse is  Zane Ferrell, her parents are Johnny and Brenda Nolan.

Matthew Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude with a  Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR. He was awarded the Alfred J. Crabaugh Outstanding Senior Male Award at Arkansas Tech.  He has accepted a job as an Administrative and Public Policy Assistant with the Agricultural Retailers Association in Washington, DC. Matthew is the son of Sam and Wynoka Smith.


Collin Wilkerson
Collin Wilkerson graduated Magna Cum Laude in University honors with a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring in physical education at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He was named the  Outstanding Student in Physical Education. He has accepted a position as the assistant boy's Basketball Coach/High School Math instructor at Crossett High School. His parents are David and Gena Wilkerson.
