Choir to Perform Mozart's Requiem April 27

          MONTICELLO, AR — The University of Arkansas at Monticello Concert and Chamber Choirs will present performances on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28.

          The Concert Choir will join with the Arkansas Choral Society to perform Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27 at Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road in Little Rock.  Dr. Kent Skinner, director of choral activities at UAM, will conduct the chorus, which will include a 25-piece orchestra comprised of musicians from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and soloists Mary Sandell, soprano; Diana Salesky, alto; Kyle Davis, tenor; and David Farwig, bass.  Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for students.           On Saturday, April 28, the UAM Choral and Music Theatre Alumni Association will host a dinner and pops concert in the Green Room of the John F. Gibson University Center.  A free concert by the Alumni Choir will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a pops concert by the Chamber Choir at 7:00. The evening will include the induction of alumni Greg Pearson, Hayley Greer, Joseph Stephens and Brandon Higdem into the UAM Choir and Music Theatre Hall of Fame.
