Warren Students Win in Abrey Swope Youth Writing Contest


Tanaceia Jamison, a 4th grade student at Brunson New Vision Charter School placed 1st in the Aubrey Swope Youth Writing Contest held May 3rd during the 117th Annual Convention of General Federation of Women's Clubs of Arkansas held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock, AR.  Tanaceia's poem "God's Anghel" has been sent to national to be judged with other state entries.  She was sponsored by the GFWC Warren Woman's Club.

Landon Milton, a 2nd grade student at Eastside New Vision Charter School won 1st place in the contest for his story "Nerf n Strike.

Shila Johnston, an 11th grade student at Warren High School won 1st place for her short story "Trick or Treat".  Shila also won 2nd place for her poem, "Nature."
